Deck overview

This Rakdos deck pairs Dragon beatdown with Goblin token generation under Smaug, Wicked Worm. Early turns focus on deploying 2-mana and 3-mana ramp alongside cost-reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman. The deck establishes its core engine by casting Smaug on Turn 5, capitalizing on opposing artifact counts to generate Treasure tokens. These tokens accelerate subsequent turns while turning every spell cast with Treasure mana into card draw. The primary path to victory involves deploying large flying Dragons such as Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, Terror of Mount Velus, and Furnace Hellkite around Turn 7. The deck leverages team-wide double strike, burn triggers, and Goblin swarms to close out games across two combat cycles by Turn 9. While the deck possesses strong creature removal and solid recovery through standalone bombs, it lacks stack interaction and broad protection against board sweepers.
