Giada 1.0 by lazerx8989

Format: Commander

Commander: Giada, Font of Hope

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

At the helm is Giada, Font of Hope, a mono-white Angel-tribal battlecruiser. The game plan is blunt and linear: accelerate a curve of evasive, lifelinking Angels ahead of schedule with Giada's mana ability, stack +1/+1 counters onto every new Angel she anoints, and bury the table in flying combat damage. The 99 carries more than thirty Angel creatures, with Lyra Dawnbringer and Righteous Valkyrie forming the anthem/lifegain core, Archangel of Thune converting life swings into team-wide counters, and Resplendent Angel, Valkyrie Harbinger, and Court of Grace generating an Angel-token army. Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Sephara, Sky's Blade make the board nearly impossible to sweep, while a Swords-of-X-and-Y equipment package and myriad effects from Blade of Selves, Legion Loyalty, and Herald of the Host let one oversized attacker hit all three opponents at once. There are no infinite combos; the kill is prolonged, resilient flying beatdown.
