Knees to Chest through the Tulips by user3375225

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghave, Guru of Spores

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ghave, Guru of Spores is the engine of an Abzan token/saproling deck. The primary plan is to put Ghave with a token doubler such as Parallel Lives or Primal Vigor and Springleaf Parade; Ghave's first ability creates two Saprolings, and the second sacrifices one to replace the removed counter, so each cycle produces a net token. Once that loop is running, Utopia Mycon sacrifices Saprolings for mana while Slimefoot, the Stowaway drains every opponent. Secondary paths use tutors to find Approach of the Second Sun or a large combat swing from Craterhoof Behemoth or Pathbreaker Ibex. The deck is built to use Ghave as both the token producer and sacrifice outlet, and it leans heavily on the commander for the deterministic engine.
