Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange strategy centered around Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic, designed to replicate high-value creatures from the battlefield and graveyards. The game plan focuses on developing mana during the opening turns, deploying the commander by Turn 4, and utilizing value creatures such as Silent Hallcreeper and Overlord of the Floodpits to maintain card flow. In the late game, the deck transitions into an evasive combat force by casting and duplicating high-impact finishers like Archetype of Imagination, Ultimecia, Temporal Threat, and Vela the Night-Clad. While the deck features flexible creature copying and decent creature removal, it lacks countermagic and protective equipment, requiring careful navigation around opposing sweepers and removal spells to close games through combat damage.
