Deck overview

Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain commands an explosive Esper Aura Voltron and Combo deck engineered to leverage combat triggers for exponential board advantage. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost cost reducers and fast mana, casting Arna on Turn 3-4, and enchanting the commander with scaling Auras such as All That Glitters, Ethereal Armor, or Combat Research. When Arna attacks, her ability doubles all counters and creates permanent token copies of attached Auras, causing power, toughness, and card draw to compound dramatically. This creates a lethal commander damage threat that eliminates opponents sequentially across two response cycles. Backing this aggressive engine is a dense suite of free and low-cost protection spells like Teferi's Protection, Flawless Maneuver, and Greater Auramancy, alongside mass graveyard recovery via Replenish and Retether. In addition to Voltron combat, the deck integrates a compact two-card infinite combo in Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista, providing an immediate instant-win avenue whenever combat is impeded.
