New Untitled Deck by sinone

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a classic **Gruul Pain** / group-slug / burn-at-every-angle deck helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. It punishes opponents for every action they take - drawing cards (Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, Razorkin Needlehead), playing lands (Zo-Zu the Punisher, Ankh of Mishra, Nightshade Harvester), casting spells (Rug of Smothering, Magebane Lizard, Painful Quandary), and losing life (Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension). The commander itself turns each opponent's first life-loss of the turn into a +1/+1 counter and a card drawn, keeping your hand full while the table burns. The eventual win comes from pure attrition - a giant Exsanguinate, Chandra's Ignition on a beefy Valgavoth, or the incremental pingers and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus doubling the damage to close out three players simultaneously.
