Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Astonishing Ant-Man deck is a Simic counter/token engine. It drops Ant-Man early, then uses a heavy draw suite (Howling Mine, Kami of the Crescent Moon, Dictate of Kruphix, Sylvan Library) to trigger his +1/+1 growth. Counters convert into swarms of Insects via his tap ability, amplified by Hardened Scales and Doubling Season. A compact recursive loop with O'aka and Mind Over Matter (plus Lyla or Wizard Class) can draw the deck and finish with Brain Freeze, while Simic Ascendancy offers an alternate counter-based win. The deck draws deep and can defend itself, but its primary plan leans on the commander and its combo lacks tutors, making it a value-combo hybrid.
