Helmsmasher 40k by Psyga315

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo Helmsmasher

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Mardu Warrior tribal deck uses Zurgo Helmsmasher as a resilient, hasty beater at the tip of an aggressive go-wide spear. The core plan is to flood the board with cheap Warrior lords and token generators (Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, Zurgo Stormrender), pump them with anthems, and overwhelm opponents through repeated combat steps. Raiyuu, Storm's Edge enables extra combat phases when Zurgo attacks alone, doubling commander damage per turn. The deck also packs a handful of board wipes (Exterminatus, Their Name Is Death) and recursion (The War in Heaven, Alesha, Who Smiles at Death) to grind through disruption. While it lacks true tutors, the sheer redundancy of Warrior synergies means nearly every draw advances the same game plan, making the deck consistent despite its narrow focus.
