Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck uses Xyris, the Writhing Storm to convert symmetrical card draw into overwhelming board presence. By forcing or allowing opponents to draw extra cards through engines like Howling Mine, Dictate of Kruphix, and Forced Fruition, Xyris spawns an army of 1/1 green Snake creature tokens. Combat damage triggers from Xyris amplify this engine exponentially by refilling your hand while simultaneously multiplying your token count. The deck closes out games by leveraging sudden pump spells such as Become Immense, granting explosive mass evasion and power with Triumph of the Hordes, or overrunning opponents using Shared Animosity.
