Deck overview

This deck is built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun and a damage-triggered draw aura. The primary line is to cast Niv-Mizzet, Parun, attach Curiosity or Ophidian Eye, then cast any instant or sorcery. Niv-Mizzet, Parun draws and deals damage; the aura draws from that damage, creating an unlimited loop. The repeated damage can be directed at all three opponents, so the line finishes in the same turn that it begins. The deck supports the plan with Dizzy Spell, Drift of Phantasms, cantrips, cost reducers, mana rocks, and a substantial counterspell suite. Its main weakness is timing: the commander costs six colored mana, and ordinary access to both the commander and aura is closer to turn 7 than to competitive combo timing. The deck is strongest when it protects the first spell with free interaction. Without Niv-Mizzet, Parun, the remaining spells package generates value and pressure but lacks a similarly reliable alternate kill.
