Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Bant creature engine piloted by Kellan, the Kid. It heavily leverages the prepared mechanic alongside foretell, plot, and top-deck casting effects. Whenever a spell is cast from outside the hand, Kellan triggers to cast an equal or lower-cost permanent spell from hand for free, doubling the deck's mana efficiency and accelerating board development. Dense 1-2 CMC ramp ensures Kellan hits the battlefield early, while card draw engines such as Vega, the Watcher, Guardian Project, and Chulane, Teller of Tales maintain a full hand of permanents to cheat into play. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat pressure, stacking recurring counters via Germination Practicum and executing lethal alpha strikes with Akroma's Will. Although vulnerable to sweeping board wipes, the list protects its investment using Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention, retaining strong standalone engines that continue functioning even if Kellan is removed.
