Deck overview

This Azorius control deck uses King T'Challa to convert symmetrical card draw effects into asymmetric card advantage. By deploying continuous draw engines such as Howling Mine and Dictate of Kruphix, the deck forces opponents to draw extra cards, triggering T'Challa to draw cards on every opponent's turn. This influx of resources fuels a dense suite of countermagic, spot removal, and defensive enchantments like Ghostly Prison. The deck converts this advantage into mana through Smothering Tithe and rapidly digs toward its primary win condition, Approach of the Second Sun. Backup win lines include direct life drain via Psychosis Crawler and Scrawling Crawler, as well as alternate win triggers from Triskaidekaphile and Twenty-Toed Toad. High-impact stax cards like Stasis and Armageddon provide decisive locks when paired with Treasure generation.
