Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet Spellslinger deck commanded by Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph. Ghyrson's ability amplifies any single point of damage dealt by your sources into 3 total damage. By combining Ghyrson with group pingers such as Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage, and Kessig Flamebreather, every noncreature spell cast deals 3 damage to each opponent. Additionally, 1-mana sweepers like End the Festivities and Blazing Volley act as one-sided board wipes against small opposing creatures and utility commanders. The card advantage engine explodes when damage-trigger auras like Curiosity and Tandem Lookout enchant pingers, drawing cards for each opponent damaged. The deck accelerates through low-cost cantrips and rituals, reaching critical pressure by Turn 5 and closing the game on Turn 6. Backup plans include a compact infinite combo with Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity, supported by robust countermagic.
