Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Boros Equipment Voltron build centered on Lightning, Army of One. Lightning leverages built-in first strike, trample, and lifelink alongside the Stagger ability, which doubles all subsequent damage dealt to an opponent once hit. The deck pairs this damage doubling with double strike enablers like Lizard Blades and massive power boosts from equipment like Excalibur, Sword of Eden to knock out opponents in single combat steps. A dense network of Equipment tutors, including Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, ensures rapid access to both offensive payloads and robust protection pieces like Commander's Plate and Conqueror's Flail. Mana-cheating support from Sigarda's Aid, Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, and Puresteel Paladin accelerates deployment tempo, while extra combat spells and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar convert single-target commander damage into rapid table eliminations. An alternate infinite combat combo with Godo, Bandit Warlord and Helm of the Host provides a decisive finisher.
