Deck overview

This deck is a creative spellslinger strategy commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex and accompanied by Umori, the Collector. Every nonland card in the 99 is a creature, fully satisfying Umori's restriction by utilizing split creatures that feature instant and sorcery prepare spells. Codie doubles every prepared spell cast and can activate to make all creatures prepared. The deck accelerates through early mana dorks like Birds of Paradise and Bloom Tender, establishing Codie on Turn 3 or 4. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into a lethal storm engine. By pairing Storm-Kiln Artist with Elite Interceptor // Rejoinder and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, Codie untaps repeatedly while generating infinite Treasures and drawing the library. The combo finishes with a decisive table kill via a doubled Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. Without Codie, the deck pivots into wide token swarms and Magecraft combat pressure.
