Hashaton, Scarab's Fist by nanoturp

Format: Commander

Commander: Hashaton, Scarab's Fist

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This deck is a highly synergistic Esper Reanimator and discard-focused strategy helmed by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The primary game plan revolves around filling the graveyard with massive threats using efficient discard outlets and entomb effects, then cheating them into play either through traditional reanimation spells or Hashaton's triggered ability. By discarding game-ending creatures like Archon of Cruelty or Hullbreaker Horror, the deck can pay a mere {2}{U} to generate 4/4 Zombie copies of them, bypassing their exorbitant mana costs. The deck features multiple infinite combos as primary win conditions, including Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward loops, Peregrine Drake mana generation, and Hullbreaker Horror storm lines. With a dense suite of counterspells and premium interaction, the deck plays a resilient, adaptive midrange-combo game that can pivot between grinding out value and executing a sudden combo finish.
