Xyris by mint

Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Xyris, the Writhing Storm turns opponent card draw into a growing Snake army. The deck accelerates him out early, then casts wheels such as Windfall and Reforge the Soul to make opponents draw in bursts, producing dozens of tokens. Finishing is handled by direct damage effects (Purphoros, Impact Tremors, Goblin Bombardment, Throne of the God-Pharaoh) or by pumping the swarm with Coat of Arms. The Locust God acts as a hidden backup commander and, with Kindred Discovery and Mister Fantastic, enables a draw/token loop. The deck has a solid interaction suite and can pivot between go-wide combat and combo finishes.
