Y'shtola, the Punisher

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed pilots a fast Esper control/combo shell. The primary plan is to use cheap fast mana to land Y'shtola early, then use MV3+ noncreature spells to drain each opponent and gain life while tutoring toward the Bolas's Citadel + Aetherflux Reservoir + Sensei's Divining Top loop. That loop turns Top activations into massive lifegain and finishes with three Aetherflux activations. Secondary paths are independent drain/punish engines: Sheoldred, Kambal, Talion, Underworld Dreams, Orcish Bowmasters, and a Notion Thief counterspell plan. Y'shtola accelerates both draw and damage but is not required for the combo, and there is no hidden commander.
