Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Exile Mill and Voltron Control strategy commanded by Umbris, Fear Manifest. The game plan revolves around exiling large volumes of cards from opponents' libraries and graveyards to rapidly grow Umbris into a massive lethal threat. Early turns focus on deploying mana ramp, passive graveyard exile engines like Dauthi Voidwalker and Planar Void, and search-hate pieces like Ashiok, Dream Render. On Turns 4 to 5, the deck deploys Umbris, whose power spikes dramatically after resolving mass exile spells like Tasha's Hideous Laughter or triggering tribal Nightmare and Horror entries. Once lethal, Umbris uses evasion equipment such as Aqueous Form and Trailblazer's Boots to eliminate opponents one by one with commander combat damage, supplemented by burst life-loss spells like Rite of Consumption. Supporting control pieces, board wipes, and high-end backup threats like Hullbreaker Horror and Sire of Stagnation ensure steady resilience throughout the game.
