Deck overview

This is a Simic landfall-manifest midrange deck helmed by Zimone, Mystery Unraveler. The core plan uses repeated land drops to trigger Zimone: the first landfall each turn manifests dread (a face-down 2/2 plus a card into the graveyard), and every subsequent landfall that turn can turn a permanent face up for free. Supporting engines like Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, Scute Swarm, and Trail of Mystery convert lands into cards, bodies, and ramp while face-down payoffs (They Came from the Pipes, Growing Dread, Whisperwood Elemental, Curator Beastie) densify the board. Wins come from combat-Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, Hydra Omnivore, and anthems like Thunderfoot Baloth-backed by a few registered commander-centric combo lines. The deck plays as a value-oriented ramp strategy that flips undercosted threats and closes through oversized attacks rather than fast combo.
