Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Treasure combo and burn deck centered on Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug features an 8/7 flying, indestructible body with haste and a potent ability: whenever he takes noncombat damage, he creates that many Treasure tokens. The strategy uses cheap self-inflicted damage spells like Cut Propulsion, Self-Destruct, Pyrohemia, and Blasphemous Act to deal massive damage to Smaug. Because Smaug is indestructible, he survives the damage and immediately creates 8 to 16 or more Treasures. The deck converts this sudden mana explosion into immediate table-wide lethality through massive X-spells like Crackle with Power or token drain payoffs including Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Reckless Fireweaver. A compact infinite combo between Brash Taunter and Blazing Sunsteel provides a robust secondary win condition. Supported by low-cost redirection spells like Bolt Bend and uncounterable protection from Hexing Squelcher, the deck consistently closes games on Turn 5 in a single explosive turn.
