Deck overview

This Jund deck is commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, turning -1/-1 counter distribution into a compounding card draw and life drain engine. The strategy accelerates through early mana dorks and rocks to cast Auntie Ool on Turn 3. On Turn 4, it establishes synergistic counter generators such as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Sinister Gnarlbark. By Turn 6, the deck deploys crushing asymmetric threats including Carnifex Demon, Kulrath Knight, and Maha, Its Feathers Night. These permanents decimate opposing creature boards, immobilize attackers, and generate vast swarms of deathtouch Snakes and Insects while draining life totals with Obelisk Spider and Auntie Ool. Opponents are systematically denied combat relevance and whittled down through unavoidable counter triggers. Supported by robust removal, Asceticism, and Delighted Halfling, the deck reliably eliminates all three opponents by Turn 8 through overwhelming token combat and life drain.
