Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control and tribal strategy centered around Vren, the Relentless. Vren acts as both a static hate piece and a powerful win condition. By exiling any opposing creature that would die, Vren completely shuts down opposing graveyard lines, death triggers, and reanimation strategies. At each end step, Vren turns those exiled creatures into Relentless Rat tokens that grow larger for each Rat you control. The deck backs this up with a high density of cheap edicts, pinpoint removal, and asymmetric sweepers such as Crippling Fear and Swarmyard Massacre. As opposing creature boards are repeatedly wiped, your board swarms with massive, high-power Rats. Synergistic tribal payoffs like Valley Rotcaller and Karumonix, the Rat King provide alternative burst damage and toxic counters, allowing you to close out games efficiently while keeping opponents starved of board presence.
