Marchesa, the Black Rose by chestnut

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis Marchesa deck is a sacrifice aristocrats engine that wins with infinite persist and undying loops, not combat. The primary plan combines a free sacrifice outlet (Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, Ashnod's Altar, Goblin Bombardment) with a persist creature (Murderous Redcap, Glen Elendra Archmage, Puppeteer Clique) and a +1/+1 counter source (First Day of Class, Thran Vigil) to create infinite death triggers, then drains with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Flayer of the Hatebound or Goblin Bombardment. Secondary paths steal boards with Agent of Treachery and Molten Primordial or grind with dethrone attacks. Marchesa provides dethrone and end-step recursion for protection, not combo. The hidden commanders are Murderous Redcap and Glen Elendra Archmage.
