Deck overview

This Gruul deck is commanded by Klothys, God of Destiny and focuses on group slug attrition, damage amplification, and board-wide burn spells. Klothys lands on turn 3 as an indestructible enchantment to provide steady graveyard exile, life gain, and incremental burn. The mid-game ramps into damage amplifiers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Dictate of the Twin Gods, and Furnace of Rath, turning minor damage instances into devastating hits. Disruptive punishers like Manabarbs and Citadel of Pain drain opponent life totals whenever lands are tapped or left untapped. While the deck lacks stack countermagic and tutor density, it controls creature-heavy boards with red sweepers like Earthquake, Sweltering Suns, and Inferno. The game is closed around turn 8 via compounded group slug damage or massive finishing spells like kicked Molten Disaster and Treacherous Terrain.
