Deck overview

This is a low-to-mid power Orzhov aristocrats and lifegain-drain deck helmed by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. The plan is straightforward: flood the board with cheap creatures and tokens, then convert every enter and every death into life and table-wide drain. Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim is an efficient 2-mana engine-gaining life on ETBs and pinging each opponent on deaths-but the 99 already carries redundant drain pieces (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Vengeful Bloodwitch, Marauding Blight-Priest, Epicure of Blood, Starscape Cleric, South Wind Avatar). Wins come from attrition drain, combat with lifegain-pumped bodies, and occasional finishers like Exsanguinate or Haunting Misery. There are no infinite combos; the deck grinds value through sacrifice loops, recursion auras/instants, and class enchantments until the table's life totals collapse.
