Deck overview

This Grixis discard-control deck is helmed by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, using forced discarding as both a disruption engine and a card-advantage generator. The front side triggers on entry or attack to make each opponent discard a card, then draws you a card for each card type among those discarded, while the back side draws you cards whenever an opponent loses life during your turn. The deck leans heavily into a "discard matters" theme: Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, Raiders' Wake, and Bandit's Talent punish opponents for discarding, while Archfiend of Ifnir and Fell Specter provide additional pressure. Graveyard recursion (Rise of the Dark Realms, Victimize, Emet-Selch, Unsundered) and alternative win conditions like Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Notion Thief + Windfall or Psychosis Crawler drain the table. The deck aims to grind opponents down through attrition, eventually overwhelming them with card advantage and incremental damage.
