venom by cp12

Format: Commander

Commander: Venom, King in Black

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black deck uses Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon as its primary poison clock: a flying infect commander that can be equipped or pumped to land 8-10 poison counters in one attack. The secondary path is a swarm of smaller infect and toxic creatures, seeded by Ichor Rats and global poison spells, and advanced by proliferate effects such as Contagion Clasp, Staff of Compleation, and Karn's Bastion. Black removal clears blockers while the dragon is protected by regeneration, cheap auras, and haste/shroud equipment. There is no hidden commander, but K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth acts as a powerful mana engine to accelerate the plan.
