Kastral by LazyWizard

Format: Commander

Commander: Kastral, the Windcrested

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kastral, the Windcrested leads a low-to-the-ground Bird tribal deck that converts early flying damage into card draw, creature recursion, and +1/+1 pump. The primary plan is to deploy cheap evasive Birds, trigger Kastral once or more per combat, then snowball with Murmuration tokens, Kindred Discovery/Coastal Piracy draws, and anthems. Secondary paths are a tempo/control finish with free counters and removal, and a giant-lord alpha strike using Kangee, Sky Warden, Mirror Entity, or Akroma's Will. There is no double-faced commander and no hidden commander; the closest auxiliary engine is the six-copy Tempest Hawk package. The deck is built to ride Kastral, not to use the partner legends as necessary commanders.
