C03 - Oh Snap by LeeDicious

Format: Commander

Commander: Thanos, the Mad Titan

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a five-color Marvel-themed goodstuff deck built around Thanos, the Mad Titan, though the commander's color identity (RWB) makes the inclusion of blue and green cards technically illegal in Commander - a critical deckbuilding oversight. The deck leans on "Hero" and "Villain" synergies, a heavy artifact subtheme, and "draw your second card each turn" triggers to generate value. It aims to out-card opponents, build a board of tokens and equipment-toting creatures, and close out games through combat damage and incremental drain effects. The commander acts as a one-shot asymmetric board wipe and a threatening lifelink/deathtouch body, but is not essential to the engine. Without a compact combo finish, the deck relies on grinding out advantage and overrunning the table with a wide, reinforced board.
