Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet discard-and-burn strategy commanded by Astonishing Spider-Man. The primary game plan accelerates into early mana rocks, deploys the commander on turn 4, and attacks to discard and redraw full grips of cards. Because Spider-Man draws cards equal to all cards discarded in a turn, pre-combat lootings like Faithless Looting and Frantic Search dramatically amplify draw volume. Redundant burn payoffs including Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Cool but Rude, and Magmakin Artillerist translate these massive discard bursts into symmetric table damage. Extra combat steps from Seize the Day and Fear of Missing Out allow multiple attack triggers in a single turn, rapidly depleting opposing life totals while refilling the hand. Graveyard mechanics such as flashback, Mayhem, and Underworld Breach ensure ongoing resilience against opposing removal.
