Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu aggressive cheat strategy built around Kaalia of the Vast. The core game plan accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4, protects her with equipment like Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots, and immediately declares attacks to put massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. High-priority hits include Master of Cruelties, which bypasses its solo attack restriction when put into play attacking to eliminate an opponent in a single combat, as well as damage doublers like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and extra-combat engines like Aurelia, the Warleader. The deck also packs an infinite combat combo between Aurelia, the Warleader and Helm of the Host. A suite of asymmetric stax creatures and efficient spot removal protects the lead and disrupts opposing setups.
