Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Xyris, the Writhing Storm is the engine and payoff of this Temur snake-token deck. The primary plan is to accelerate into Xyris, then force opponents to draw extra cards using global draw spells, wheels, and upkeep triggers. Each opponent draw creates a 1/1 Snake, and Xyris's own combat damage generates even more. Secondary plans use token pings from Witty Roastmaster, drain effects from Psychosis Crawler and Scrawling Crawler, and a final Overrun-style trample swing. The deck is single-faced, with no hidden commander; both aggressive and grindy lines exist, but the clearest path is a mid-game wheel into a massive haste-less swarm, finished by Overrun.
