Deck overview

This Sultai deck harnesses the unique death trigger of Uugguu, the Omniplasm to generate exponential token copies using the legend rule. By casting clone creatures to enter as copies of Uugguu, the state-based legend rule immediately sends the nontoken clone to the graveyard. This triggers Uugguu to produce two 2/2 nonlegendary token copies of itself. Subsequent clones see all existing Uugguu copies trigger simultaneously, turning a single 2-mana or 3-mana clone into six or more additional commanders on the battlefield. The deck converts this massive token generation and death count into victory through aristocrat drain effects like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Nadier's Nightblade, alongside mana engines like Warren Soultrader. When combat is preferred, cards like Combine Chrysalis and Craterhoof Behemoth provide decisive evasive overruns. Supported by dense low-cost ramp and massive burst card draw, the strategy functions as a lethal, highly redundant engine.
