Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses its commander, Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun, to grant split second to all instant and sorcery spells. This static ability turns standard counterspells and bounce spells into unanswerable interaction that completely bypasses opposing counter-magic and instant-speed responses. The deck develops its mana with reliable 2-to-3 CMC rocks and draws cards using recurring engines like The Theorist, Jace Beleren, Waterbending Scroll, and April O'Neil, Hacktivist. Its primary route to victory is resolving Jace, Reality Sculptor, quickly boosting its loyalty using basic Island scaling and Empower Jace abilities, and activating its 0 ability to exile all but the bottom card of each opponent's library. Opponents are then forced to deck out within two turn cycles while split-second interaction prevents them from mounting a comeback.
