Deck overview

This deck is a Jund combat-control strategy commanded by Thantis, the Warweaver. It aims to turn the multiplayer format into an arena of forced conflict. By using aggressive goad cards, symmetric attack requirements, and gifts like Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos and Slicer, Hired Muscle, the deck forces opponents to deplete their own creatures and life totals. Meanwhile, pillowfort pieces such as Crawlspace and Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, alongside fogs like Arachnogenesis and Moment's Peace, ensure that incoming aggression is redirected or neutralized. Card advantage engines like Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant and Deathreap Ritual capitalize on the constant combat chaos to keep resources flowing. Once opponents are battered and their shields are down, the deck delivers a decisive finish using Insurrection, overloaded Spectacular Showdown, or an unblockable swing with a massive Thantis.
