Deck overview

This deck combines traditional Elfball acceleration with a lethal graveyard combo engine commanded by Thranduil, the Elvenking. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with one-drop Elves and stocking the graveyard using efficient tutors such as Buried Alive, Entomb, and Gifts Ungiven. Once Thranduil enters the battlefield, he inherits all activated abilities of Elves in the graveyard. By copying Devoted Druid, Priest of Titania, and Ezuri, Renegade Leader, Thranduil generates infinite green mana and infinitely large trample attackers to close the game on Turn 5. If combat is obstructed, copying Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord provides an instant table-wide life drain kill. The deck is shielded by low-cost protection spells like Tyvar's Stand and Heroic Intervention-style effects such as Gaea's Gift and Collective Resistance. If Thranduil is disrupted, the deck pivots naturally into a wide Elf token assault backed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves, Elvish Archdruid, and Tyvar, the Pummeler.
