Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu token-combat and aristocrats build commanded by Zurgo Stormrender. Zurgo transforms temporary attacking creature tokens into immediate card draw if they perish in combat, while converting their end-step expiration into unavoidable table-wide life loss. The deck leverages hyper-efficient attack-triggered token producers such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, and Endless Foot Assault to create expansive boards out of nowhere. These bodies trigger punishing enter-the-battlefield damage effects like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors before marching into combat. Even if opponents mount blockers, the attacking tokens cash in for cards or burn opponents upon dying. Backed by premier defensive spells like Flawless Maneuver, Boros Charm, and Myrel, Shield of Argive, the deck steadily grinds down all three opponents simultaneously, closing games around Turn 7.
