Commander: Yurlok of Scorch Thrash

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yurlok of Scorch Thrash spearheads a punishing group slug strategy that resurrects the classic mana burn mechanic. By forcing opponents to receive unspent mana and punishing them when phases end, Yurlok turns standard resource management into a lethal hazard. The primary win condition revolves around infinite untap loops using artifacts like Umbral Mantle, Staff of Domination, or Sword of the Paruns paired with Heartstone or Nyxbloom Ancient to pump infinite mana into opponents during phase transitions. Alternatively, the deck executes a creature combo with Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Murderous Redcap, and Goblin Bombardment. Taxing pieces like Citadel of Pain and Mana Web ensure opponents burn before they can react.
