Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu Knight tribal strategy led by Celes, Rune Knight. It focuses on curving out aggressive Knight creatures, establishing wide boards, and amplifying combat power through redundant tribal anthems and keyword granters like Knight Exemplar and Kinsbaile Cavalier. Celes provides essential mid-game hand sculpting and converts recursion triggers into team-wide +1/+1 counters. Because the deck runs a low land count (32 lands) and minimal fast acceleration, it develops on a fair, curve-bound tempo rather than explosive mana turns. The deck closes games through compounded combat damage across Turns 6 to 8, supported by reach cards such as Smitten Swordmaster and mass reanimation from Primevals' Glorious Rebirth. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to keyword density and selective recursion, it remains vulnerable to mass exile and fast combo strategies.
