Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger and tribal aggro-control deck led by Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor scales his power based on the number of Merfolk you control and creates 1/1 Merfolk tokens whenever you cast a noncreature spell with blue mana symbols. The deck leverages this synergy by casting efficient counterspells, protection spells, and cantrips to disrupt opponents while building a wide token army. These tokens convert into massive card advantage through combat damage triggers like Coastal Piracy, Bident of Thassa, and Kindred Discovery. Once you achieve critical mass, unblockability from Deepchannel Mentor or islandwalk lords pairs with anthem effects like Coat of Arms to eliminate opponents in combat. The strategy maintains tempo by turning reactive spells directly into board presence.
