Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov aggressive combat strategy built around Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness and a dense package of legendary creatures. Its game plan relies on curving out with cheap legends, deploying Ardbert on turn 3, and chaining white and black spells to distribute +1/+1 counters while granting evasion through menace and vigilance. Key support pieces like Arvad the Cursed, Heroes' Podium, and Odric, Lunarch Marshal amplify combat pressure, while Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim and Bartolomé del Presidio offer secondary aristocrat reach. The deck features a solid suite of single-target exile and destroy effects to clear key blockers and disrupt opposing engines. However, thin mana ramp and a land count of 33 make the deck vulnerable to mana stalls, and its reliance on committing multiple creatures to the board leaves it inherently exposed to sweepers.
