Deck overview

This deck is a classic five-color Dragon tribal midrange strategy commanded by The Ur-Dragon. Its game plan relies on early mana ramp and cost reduction to deploy massive, evasive Dragon threats ahead of curve. The commander provides passive cost reduction from the command zone through Eminence, allowing high-cost flying beaters to enter the battlefield as early as Turn 4. Once established, cards like Hellkite Courser, Atarka, World Render, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen turn individual attacks into crushing combat steps. The Ur-Dragon's attack trigger draws cards and cheats permanents into play, burying opponents in value. While the deck lacks infinite combos or proactive stax locks, its sheer aerial power and card flow can overwhelm standard Commander pods. Its primary vulnerabilities include vulnerability to board sweepers and a heavy reliance on combat damage over multiple turn cycles to close out the game.
