BIG SPELLS by user4235621

Format: Commander

Commander: Rootha, Mastering the Moment

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Rootha, Mastering the Moment is a spellslinger that converts every instant or sorcery cast into a hasty flying token. The primary plan is a midrange tempo game: land Rootha early, chain cheap draw and cost-reduction pieces, then cast high-mana-value spells to create larger Elemental tokens each combat. Secondary wins come from extra turns and extra combats-Expropriate, Fury of the Horde, Surge to Victory-which multiply a token board into a lethal swing. Rionya and Thunderclap Drake act as force multipliers. The deck is not combo-focused; it wins through repeated combat damage, using interaction to protect the commander and clear blockers. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Rootha, with Veyran and Rionya as powerful supporting spellslingers.
