Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Avacyn, Angel of Horror to turn standard creature deaths into compounding end-step recursion. Backed by heavy demon payoffs and aristocrat engines, the deck controls the battlefield through attrition pieces like Braids, Cabal Minion, Woebringer Demon, and Attrition. As nontoken creatures die, Avacyn returns them to play at the beginning of each end step, triggering enter-the-battlefield abilities and enabling continuous sacrifice loops. The deck closes games through steady life drain with Ayara, First of Locthwain, Agent of the Iron Throne, and Xathrid Demon, supported by massive flying beaters. While vulnerable to graveyard exile and exile-based board wipes, its redundancy in high-impact threats and explosive late-game mana from Cabal Coffers and Nirkana Revenant ensure resilient long-game inevitability against creature-heavy opposition.
