Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The deck's primary game plan revolves around playing high-power creatures and resilient recursive threats such as Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, Ebondeath, Dracolich, and Gravecrawler, then sacrificing them to Gisa to generate massive swarms of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck amplifies these tokens using lords like Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Lord of the Accursed, while extracting additional value through aristocrat engines such as Ayara, First of Locthwain, Undead Augur, Vengeful Dead, and Syr Konrad, the Grim. Without reliance on infinite combos or fast mana, the deck steadily develops mana and board presence through 39 lands and on-curve rocks, threatening lethal swarm attacks and devotion drain bursts around Turns 6 to 8.
