Deck overview

This Esper midrange drain deck is helmed by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed, a value engine that pings each opponent for 2 and gains 2 life whenever you cast a noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater, then draws at end step if any player lost 4+ life. The plan layers life-loss triggers (Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Papalymo Totolymo, Blind Obedience extort, Painful Quandary) with pillowfort (Ghostly Prison, Propaganda) and a dense instant-speed answer suite, then closes through big X-spells (Exsanguinate, Debt to the Deathless) or Sanguine Bond converting the life gain into lethal drains. Token producers (Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, G'raha Tia, Scion Reborn, Champions from Beyond) and legendary beaters supply a secondary combat clock. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins by attrition and overloaded finishers in a grindy multiplayer race.
