Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger and Combat-Copy strategy commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The game plan revolves around deploying Azula and attacking to generate {R}{R} firebending mana while duplicating every instant, flash, or combat spell cast during the attack phase. This engine rapidly multiplies card advantage through Magecraft payoffs like Archmage Emeritus, generates surplus mana with Storm-Kiln Artist and Birgi, God of Storytelling, and controls the board using efficient Grixis interaction. The deck closes games decisively around Turn 6 by copying Savage Beating for multiple double-striking combat phases backed by massive copied burn spells, storming through the library with Bolas's Citadel, or executing an infinite ping and draw loop with Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity that finishes with Thassa's Oracle. Robust protection pieces ensure key threats resolve and survive interaction.
