Deck overview

This deck is an optimized mono-black reanimator and aristocrats combo list led by Witch-king of Angmar. The primary strategy leverages graveyard entomb effects and low-cost reanimation spells to cheat high-impact demons and praetors into play early, most notably Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Archon of Cruelty. Once on the battlefield, Razaketh converts sacrifice fodder from token generators like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer into direct tutors to assemble the infinite drain combo of Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Bloodthirsty Conqueror. The deck also features robust secondary game plans, including asymmetric board attrition via Grave Pact and Sheoldred, Whispering One, explosive mana acceleration through Cabal Coffers into Torment of Hailfire, and deep card draw powered by Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Skullclamp. While susceptible to instant-speed graveyard exile and targeted creature removal, dense reanimation redundancy and efficient recursion ensure fast engine recovery.
