Deck overview

This Grixis deck focuses on spellslinger storm and burn strategies led by Fire Lord Azula. Azula accelerates mana upon attacking by adding {R}{R} through firebending and copies every spell cast during combat. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with cheap mana rocks, cost-reducers like Goblin Electromancer, and low-cost cantrips such as Ponder and Preordain. Once Azula attacks, it chains instant-speed rituals, card draw, and untap spells, triggering magecraft engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus to generate massive mana and card advantage. It finishes games in a single turn using large burn spells like Crackle with Power, storm finishers such as Tendrils of Agony and Grapeshot, or buyback loops with Reiterate. If the commander is disrupted, independent recursion engines like Underworld Breach and Past in Flames allow the deck to storm off directly from the graveyard.
